Simple
Posted by trustmyintuition under Breakfasts, Exercise, Lunch | Tags: agave nectar, kiwi, PB and J, soy yogurt |I was feeling sick this morning (sore throat), which I am almost certain I got it from Brian. It’s not too bad though. I had a comforting bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. I had the same thing as yesterday except I used some agave nectar instead of brown sugar! I love agave nectar. I’m very glad I bought it! I also had flaxseed meal, wheat germ, walnuts, cinnamon, and a spoonful of PB like usual. (481 calories, 16 g fat, 13 g fiber, 16 g protein)
At the gym today I did 30 minutes of running, 10 minutes on the stairmaster, 10 on the ET, and some pushups, situps, and stretching. Pretty much the usual workout. It felt great! When I came home I had a hard time deciding what to have for lunch with! I was going to make a “pizza” on a tortilla, or have a wrap or a stir fry, but I wanted PB and J again. I just thought I should have something different than yesterday, but it’s what I really wanted! PB and J it was and almost the same as yesterday…PB and blueberry preserves on TJ’s sprouted wheat, which has honey in it (should have checked, but I’m not really worried about it), RED bell pepper, an orange, a kiwi, and plain soy yogurt! (591 calories, 21 g fat, 16 g fiber, and 24 g protein).
I don’t know what I will have for dinner yet. I’m thinking I should just finish up some leftovers, yet I am anxious to try something new!! Decisions, decisions… Anyway, I’m off to read some nursing stuff!!

Oh no!! I do hope that if you DO end up having a really bad sore throat, that it heals quickly. I’m sure that that hot bowl of oatmeal helped soothe your throat a little bit, at least.
Hooray!! I’m SO thrilled that you love the agave nectar - keep using it!! :0)

Hey,
This is my first time posting, but I’ve been reading for a while and I must say, I really enjoy your blog. It’s great to see someone eat and exercise healthily.. you are an inspiration! Keep up the good work!
I am a vegan as well, and I never really liked honey, but I see that a lot of products I like have honey as an ingredient and I’m on the fence about it. I don’t really mind the honey, but I would like to find some products that don’t have honey in them, but I find that to be quite a challenge.
How do you like agave nectar? Does it taste like honey or is it a different taste? Is it better than honey?
I’d appreciate your feedback!
Sorry about your sore throat… as a student nurse, I recommend lots of citrus (orange, orange juice, water with lemon juice in it) and fluids. Hope you feel better soon!

sorry about your sore throat… i woke up with my throat a little achey as well
…anyways, yesterday morning I saw that you used a frozen banana in your oatmeal…jow come? were they overripe and then you just froze them? or do you like it better that way? then did you just microwave it first to thaw it out? or cut it frozen? haha sorry for the Qs, but im a HUGE banana oatmeal fanatic, so just curious!!

VeggieGirl-
I am feeling better, so it seems to be healing quickly! Thank you
Evey-
I was never a big fan of honey either until a while ago before I decided to be a vegan. I think my taste buds must have changed or something, but I really like agave nectar and think I would have liked it when i didn’t like honey (if that makes sense)! It is sweeter and thinner than honey. You should definitely give it a try!
Thank you! I am glad you like my blog
I ate an orange yesterday and today, and that must have done something as I am feeling better today! haha! Thank you for the recommendations! I am studying to be a nurse as well
ChocolateCoveredVegan-
PB and J is awesome! Never boring haha!
Aww thanks! You’re so sweet! I’m thankfully feeling better now
GlidingCalm-
And yes, i popped it in the microwave for a minute (but my microwave is very weak) then removed the peel. If I freeze bananas again, I will do so without the peel as suggested by other bloggers to make it easier and neater. Give it a try!
I hope your throat feels better! I used a frozen banana because they were going to go bad, so I put them in the freezer to save them! haha! i don’t really notice a difference in the final product though, and the frozen banana was very messy, so i think I’ll stick with fresh when I can unless I need to save my bananas!
